Reviews

In their words, not ours

4.6 / 5 from 10 reviews

Every review on this page is shown whole, good parts and complaints included, in the reviewer's own words. We don't trim them down to the quotable sentence, we don't hide the lukewarm ones, and our replies go underneath a review, never instead of it.

Write your review from the link in your order email, use the Write a review button above, or send it straight to [email protected] and we will publish it verbatim. We do not edit reviews, we do not hide the two-star ones, and we do not gate publishing behind a discount code in exchange for a rating.

How the sausage is normally made

Four ways a supplement page inflates a five-star rating

We are telling you these because you are about to go look at the competition, and you should be able to spot them. Every one of them is legal. Every one of them is common. None of them tells you whether the product works.

01

Seeding before launch

A hundred free jars go out to a list in exchange for "honest feedback" a week before the store opens. Nobody is lying, exactly. But a reviewer who paid nothing has not made the decision you are about to make, and the page opens on day one already at 4.8.

02

Rating-gating

The post-purchase email asks how you are enjoying it. Four or five stars sends you to the public review form. One, two or three sends you to a support ticket instead. The negative review never gets written, so the average is not an average of anything.

03

Borrowed stars

The rating on the page belongs to the brand, the parent company, or a different SKU entirely. It is a real number attached to the wrong product. Look for whether the count moves when you switch flavour or size. If it does not, it is not this product's rating.

04

Discount-for-a-rating

Ten percent off your next order once your review posts. That is a payment. It does not make the review false, it makes it purchased, and the people who did not like the product do not come back for the coupon. Skew is baked in before anyone types a word.

The review form here goes to everybody, whatever they thought, and the average is whatever it works out to. Not a five. Whatever it works out to.

Reading them

What a review on this page carries

So you can check for yourself, not take our word for it:

  • A verified-buyer marker when it appliesTied to an actual order in our system. If it is missing, the review came in another way and the badge stays off. We do not hand those out.
  • The whole textIncluding the complaint in the middle of a four-star review. We do not trim reviews down to the quotable sentence.
  • The rating it came withA three sits next to the fives and pulls the average down in public. That is the point of an average.
  • Our reply underneath, in publicNot instead of the review. If we got something wrong, the correction sits under the thing we got wrong, where you can read both.

Our review policy

What we will and won't do with reviews

  • We publish good, bad and lukewarm. A low rating does not get a review quietly parked.
  • We don't pay for them. No discount codes for a rating, no incentivised review programme of any kind.
  • We don't edit them. Typos included. If a review needs a reply, the reply goes underneath it in public, not instead of it.
  • We don't gate by star count. The same link goes to everybody, whatever they thought. There is no branch in the email that routes unhappy customers away from the review form.

And no experts either

There is no white coat on this page

The other thing a supplement brand does with a review page is pad it with endorsements: a headshot, a set of letters after a name, a sentence of approval that was paid for at a flat rate. We do not have a medical advisory board, we have not retained a doctor, and we are not going to rent a face to stand next to the jar.

What we have instead is the literature the doses were set from, printed on Our Science with the amounts beside them so you can check our arithmetic. If we ever do work with a clinician, this block gets replaced with their name, what they actually did for us, and what we paid them.

Your turn

The only thing you are risking is a month.

30 days, money back, and you keep the bottle. Then write what you actually think and we will publish it word for word.
